First off, I want to thank all those who have provided their technological support and have help me on my journey to rebuild my 1977 Birchaven.

My next question is, how does one separate the bond between the SMC roof top from the aluminum rooftop? The fastners have been removed but the bond to the aluminum is very strong. I don't want to damage the aluminum roof.

Thanks in advance (Again),
Tom

I think your going to have to get a razor knife [OLFA type] in between the SMC/the aluminum and slowly slice the bonding agent while carefully lifting up on the panel as you cut. I can't think of any other way but i'm no expert at this coach like some of the others guys are. [Hal comes to mind when i think major skinning of a coach]

Heat, Use a heat gun, or if your risky a propane torch just don't let the smc catch on fire

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car, understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and torque is how far you take the wall with you when you hit it.

Tom,

Oscillating tool with a metal cutting blade that is bent into a shallow curve. A bent scraper blade in the oscillating tool would probably also work, but I've never done that.

Guys,

Thanks again so much. I will employ all three techniques.

Take care,
