Larry,

As the device I use (actually in the Alaska Airstream coach) is digital, it
did take a few iterations to successfully program it the first time (and
each year when I return for the summer!!)

Years ago, I was able to find a 120F thermostat for the GMC motorhome water
heater. The OEM t'stat was 140F. Water was too hot for comfortable use. 120F
is "about right" for us. When traveling, we have to throttle use of the
engine-heated water. While I have not "lazer- thermed" the water, I'm
guessing it is 165-175F after a day of driving (allows a 15-25F approach of
the water to engine-coolant temp).

When I tired of manually controlling the Airstream heater (same as in the
GMC, ex engine coolant coil), the 120F thermostat was no longer available
"anywhere". That's when I bought the digital controller. Frankly, your idea
did not occur to me!

Hey Fred, Thanks!!

I looked at it, and you know, that simple timer we have, where you just
twist it to 10 minutes keeps something really simple in this challenged 2020
year of ours. Sure hope to see you and Sharon this spring.
