Sorry to ask crappy questions, but I need to replace the flange on my Aqua
Magic toilet. Have those who are experienced in that work found their old
flange adhered to the holding tank? I can't get mine to release. And before
I tackle it with a sazall, I thought I would ask. The above floor level
section is gone and the throat is not budging. I am working on a 1975 26'
Avion but if it were glued, no one would be able to drop the holding tank.

Look for screws holding the flange to the floor. The heads may be corroded off but they can still hold and prevent the flange from turning.
Try cutting the flange off with a cutting wheel. Replace it with a new flange and use stainless steel screws.
