I just had a great conversation with our old GMCer friend Frank Jenkins.
He and Neni have been completely isolated on their farm for the past
several months. Their daughter does all of their shopping for them, so the
only time he's been out was a week ago when he went to get new mufflers on
the GMC -- and apparently lost the bottom end of his engine enroute! He's
looking for a good engine to replace it for a reasonable price -- so he can
sell that, his last, GMC. No more travelling for them. He's even sold the
stretch he's been working on for probably longer than I've known him - 20+
years. If anyone's got a lead on an engine, contact him -- or me.

Now the real reason for this: Frank is ready to sell his complete GMC
Fiberglass Components business. He told me he has about 50 molds, at least
one each of all the things he's made over the years, duplicates or more of
the most popular of them, and the trailer to haul it all in. He stated an,
to me, absurdly low price, "below which I'll run over all of it with my
tractor." You have to know Frank to understand that statement. :-)

Seriously, if you want a sideline, this may be your opportunity to take on
an established one cheaply. Give him a call (352)two eighty-one, eighty,
eighty-two.

Ken H.

Ken, Dave Shattuck has a newly rebuilt by him 455 on his engine stand. The price he told me for the quality is more than realistic. Tell Frank to call him.

Sorry to hear that Frank Jenkins is selling his GMC fiber glas business and retiring from traveling but I know that both have served him well. He was always a hoot to be around! We will miss him but wish him and his wife well!
