Wondering if I can run one AC with a power inverter. Does anyone know the running wattage and the wattage when the compressor starts?

I believe the original AC units were about 20Amps+ to start and close to 15 amps running.

At 12 volts @ say 80% inverter efficiency, that's about 250Amps to start and about 190Amps running. What that comes down to.. if you are running two 6 volt golf-cart batteries, your real-time running time for the AC will be measured in minutes. so not practical.

Just my farmboy shade tree mechanic with 40+ years experience in electronics running radio communications systems on backup batteries through inverters... point of view.
