This has been covered here for decades. YES. They have a lifetime warranty. And you're going to be exchanging it for the rest of your life. Pulling either of them isn't that hard. Or have someone do it for you. Take them to a local rebuilder. Get it done in your hometown. You can save some green. And miss the frustration while on the road. These are issues that are so avoidable. Bob Dunahugh

I agree.
I was having slow engine turn over at start, I thought it was the battery being weak.
The Mechanic suggested the starter could be a concern so I dropped the starter and took it to a rebuilder. He said it was a great starter, easy to rebuild.
Mine needed new shaft bushings and brushes and now it spins quickly and the engines starts fine...
I was told never get a starter from the Chinese retailers and if I did, NOT TO TRADE IN THE ORIGINAL...
