Cost, Your Comfort Zone, and what are your plans for use. As to the 1ton. 5years ago. I put one in a friends GMC. Last year we pulled it out. And went back to stock. The 1 ton went to Marion Iron for scrap. It's doesn't meet ASE standards, As to approve suspension geometry. I put Dave Linzi front knuckles in. With the grease fitting. Then you'll have a real lifetime bearing.
To spread the cost. Replace one at a time if they seem reasonably good. Comfort Zone. Is what makes you comfortable to go somewhere safely. With full expectations of getting back home again. Safely. Our present 78 Royale is an example of a comfort zone to an extreme. After a fire 5 years ago. In our first 78 Royale. We put $42,000 in just parts in this second GMC.
