Wow.
This was the one you *just* picked up? How was it mechanically? Could it make it very far?
I'm a big fan of the various GMC Facebook groups - in this case getting the word out there may *really* help. They have many members. More eyes on the road, per se.
Do you use Facebook?

Thanks for the help folks, if you read my other post, it could barely drive. I drove 4 miles to the location it was at and it probably had a gallon of gas in the 5 gallon container in the cab.
Had no battery and the gas wasn't even set up to be used. I'm curious if the theifs towed it.
VIN 1TZE063V101072
Ca blue plates: 1BAX271
Not sure if they think they can get far, it doesn't exactly blend in.

I installed a hidden secret switch that disconnects the wire between the ignition switch and the starter. Thieves may break-in, hot wire to bypass the key, but the starter won't activate. Sent from my U.S.Cellular© Smartphone

If you know someone that works for ACT {Alameda County Transit) let them know and see if they will get the word out to the drivers for you.

Sounds kinda like the City might have used a Recovery Truck, or a Repo Guy
Grabbed it off the street thinking it might be an abandoned vehicle. Sure
worth a phone call or two to the tow yard and or the city. Nothing out but
your time.

Might be worth a trip back to where you bought it, to see if they sold it
to more than one prospective buyer. Stranger things have happened.

Called all the places I could when it comes to getting towed. Police dept doesn't have it on record(they are supposed to be notified within an hour). I called a towing company that was listed on the city's site and I talked to him for a good amount of time about it.
What I can tell you is that when I bought it, it HAD been tagged by the city as an abandoned vehicle (big orange notice stuck on the window) The guy I saved it from had half-assed scraped it off after he moved it to another location. What's interesting is that in the place where it was stolen was the rest of the half-scraped notification on the ground. So someone went through the trouble of scraping that off before taking it.
I appreciate the help, but everything indicates that it has been legitimately stolen.
My coworker actually suspects the parking security. It was fine all weekend, but when they started their shift yesterday morning I got a call from the property management and I explained that I had just got it, that I work in the building, and I had a slight hiccup with getting it towed that day (monday) and they were fine with giving me until today. I contacted them first to see if they had it towed and they said they didnt do it. I asked the construction crew near by and they said they saw it yesterday evening and not this morning since they got there at 7.
Please let me know if you suspect any other loopholes in my story, I feel like I have covered the basis of it getting towed. I have also searched the surrounding area and where I got it, but this area is big. I wouldn't be surprised if I missed it on some other street that I DIDN'T go down. I have been in this situation before and gave up my search for a vehicle only to have it found literally in the NEXT parking lot I was going to search.

Keep an eye on Offer-Up for parts etc....just in case someone decides to part it for a few bucks.
Do you have the guys address you got it from? Take a drive by his house and neighborhood, it wouldn't be the first time someone re-snagged a sale knowing exactly what, were etc it was......
You can rule out some homeless dude as he wouldn't have had the means to get it out of there....someone knew it was there....
