Last resort, measure the ports that the hoses go onto. Caution, be sure to
replace ridgid hoses with similar product.

I just battled this. They're 3/16".
Problem is everything in the parts stores are metric, I think around 5mm.
I found 3/16 clear hose in the hardware store while I waited for my online 3/16" order to arrive.
Clear seemed to work OK, not sure how they hold up to heat.
There's a larger size I haven't tackled yet but I expect the same.
Although the larger hoses might have mm that fits.

Whatever they have in parts stores today seem to be metric. And they get confused when you say you need a different size.
While on large things sometimes metric will closely fit " dimensions, on small sizes the differences extrapolate, one can be too loose, and one too tight.
Let alone hard to measure with caliper for ID and OD.
Just a caution of metric vs. ", especially on small critical components.

Hey, we were all supposed to go metric in the 60's.
What happened?

Vacuum hoses are measured in /32" and are designed to avoid collapse.
Learned this when I replaced my brake booster vacuum hose with non vacuum line. Drove for years afterwards wondering why my power assist braking would fade so rapidly. HOSE WAS COLLAPSING. Resolved with fitting proper sized non collapsible vacuum hose.

Oh, in the "do as I say, not as I do" category,

Take the fitting (or piece of hose) with you.
1) someone may have changed it from original
2) something/anything may fit to your satisfaction.

Slow learning on this end, but I'm getting better

What size hose did you use for the booster vacuum assist line?

The same thing can happen with the new fuel hoses. They are designed for pressure not for being under vacuum and they have been found to collapse when on the vacuum side of the fuel pump causing 'Vapor lock' symptoms.
