There was some discussion earlier but I can't find the thread... so here's a new one. My circumstance is, I can't currently leave Paula alone with both dogs, so if I go to Patterson one (Bonnie) will have to come along. According to Kim, no dogs in the building. And there seems to be only one building, which includes a kitchen so begging and pleading won't help... Sate law sez none where food is prepared and only outside where it's consumed. No future in sneaking and jeopardizing one of the few places suitable for the conventions anyhow. I can either skip the indoor stuff or leave her in the coach. If I skip the tech sessions, might as well to stay home. On the other hand, Bonnie is a Border Collie with all that that implies - Borders when they're bored are probably the most destructive dogs that exist. If she gets bored she can make junk out of the coach in short order. The option is to crate her in the coach, and this may be the answer for short periods. I'll be trying it here at home and see how it works out. If it doesn't,I'll be skipping the convention. Keep watching this space. If everything goes well and the coach performs as I think it will going to Raliegh and Concord I can make at least some of the convention.
In asking about this, I'd mentioned a presentation I did for our Kennel Club publication and Kim had asked about it. I told her, it is aimed at dog show and trials folks, not the general RV public and would require pretty much a total rewrite for a GMC group. F'rinstance dog people know better than to walk into a show venue - or pretty much anyplace else - with a dog on a 'Flexi' reel up lead. (they would be tossed unceremoniously from a show or trial) RV people in general seem to be enamored of the damn things and don't see why we don't have any use for them. If anybody is interested, I'll send you the reasons in a paper we give new Club members, being told the Flexi needs to be in the trash has a high pistoff ratio.
