Had the opportunity to take a quick trip to Yuma from our home in Tucson. Our Youngest was competing in regionals ACDEC competition and this proved an easy excuse to run the Royale 240 ish miles each way. Both grandmothers enjoyed the big windows and the on board facilities. older daughter chose to nap in the back. Short story long, totally successful, stress free. one finger driving. we had a bit of time to kill after the meet but before dinner and found a lovely park along the colorado river , just in view of the old yuma prison tower. while kicking the tires etc i decided to eyeball the genset a bit. low and behold there is a battery disconnect hiding in the shadows. flipped the switch. went inside, cranked the gen once, twice, and third time's the charm. Onan is alive and producing voltage ! still chasing the instrument lighting but so far the beast is running strong. next up is a trip to Disney over the rodeo holiday with a stop at MGM-GMC. have ordered the reaction arms and 3.70 LSD from Applied and they should be shipping to Miguel. "Roy" does not care for the hills, the new final drive should cure that.
