So, I screwed up and left the brake buddy alert antenna hanging out of the door of the tracker when we left Big Bend. In my defense, it was early morning and dark outside, but that is a flimsy excuse at best. It is the kind from an older unit that plugs into the brake buddy unit and you place it on the seat. It sends a signal to the unit inside the coach to alert you to when the brake buddy activates.
I guess it is really not necessary, but I would like to replace it. I haven't had any luck in a quick search on Amazon, Ebay, or even Brake buddy's site finding the right one.
Does anyone have an old one you are no longer using that you would be willing to part with? Please let me know if you do.

Okay, so knowing squat about electronics, I didn't realize that the alert antenna (transmitter) in the towed vehicle needed to be paired with the receiver in the motorhome. I guess that should have been obvious.
I contacted Brake Buddy Support and they got right back to me. They said they could pair my receiver with a used transmitter for $50.00 if I send them the receiver. They then added (after I asked) that I do not need the alert system for the unit to work properly.
I think I'll pass, so if anyone was about to waste their time looking for the part I need, please don't bother.

I have only used mine a few times, but I value the activation indicator...like every other form of insurance, that $50 will seem like small potatoes compared to a locked brake system, or one that is not activating and you think it is. Just my two cents! I vote you take them up on it - safe and happy travels!

Carl,
I would love to help but I am confused as to what you have and what exactly you are missing. The picture on digikey is a pair of common banana plugs which are not normally used for antennas. From your description and the picture I am thinking that you are missing more than just an antenna. Probably what you have there is a transmitter of some kind with an antenna attached. It is probably item unique to the Brake Buddy system. Since pairing was mentioned it probably is running bluetooth back to the main unit in the coach.

You are correct. The unit I destroyed is a transmitter that connects to the brake buddy with the banana plugs and is paired with a receiver in the coach.

The internet's full of remote tx/rx devices similar to this which would be
trivially simple to use to replace what you lost:

For 5+ years I've used something similarly priced to control my Electomotor
