On the 78 year model, what ID are the three fuel filler hoses, the 45, the short straight hose to the front tank, and the 90 to the rear tank.
I take one measurement and it looks like 1 3/8 inch and another measurement at another location comes up to 1 1/2 or just shy of it.

When I replaced mine about 9 years ago, I think they were an odd-ball size. So I just bought them from Cinnabar. They were not that expensive from my recollection. I believe Applied has them too.

You have 3 sizes of fuel and vapor carrying hoses on the coach. 1/4" i.d.,
5/16" id., and 3/8 " i.d.
In addition, there are filler hoses and "burp" hose that are various sizes.
Gates "Barricade" hoses have an internal liner of alcohol resistant
material and that might affect exact measurement a bit. Clear as mud, right?

Got mine from Applied as well....im sure i could have found them locally but i would have had to match them up to different car hoses, cut the sections out etc and when all is said and done would have cost me more in the end.

The elbow is different id's at each end adding to the problem of finding something that would work.

I recently tried to order from my Napa store the 1 1/8" hose that clamps
between the vertical fill tube to the metal pipe that runs horizontally
along the drivers side frame. Not to be found. 1" and 1 1/4" but not 1
1/8"

It is almost like the metal filler tubing is inconsistent in size, one measurement is 1 1/2 and another is almost 1 3/8.
Gates makes 1 1/2 in a 45 which is a 24710 and a 90 which is 24715 and you can get the straight in the same diameter by the foot at Napa.
Guess I will have to do some more measuring by pulling one of the old hoses off.

Well Rich,

I have been in the autobiz in Detroit and I could not locate fuel fill hose the correct sizes and shapes. So, don't feel bad.
I bought mine from JimK - too.

We found that the boat people have hoses, but most had wire support and our
customers did not like them. We have been supplying the hose that fit and
perform as expected.
Nick , Gary and I spend considerable time on the phone to help.
We have the most complete lineup of GMC MH parts in the USA
