Hope all have a great Thanksgiving. I am home with a broken foot. I slipped going up my front stairs and fell back four steps. My head hit the driveway but didn’t crack any concrete!
I have a large plastic orthopedic boot and a cane so I can hobble around.
My daughter and family are here. I am looking forward to the pies: rhubarb, cherry, apple, blue berry and pumpkin. We should have a contest to see who gains the most weight today!

See you down the road.

Prop your foot up and take sympathy from everybody. And enjoy the family and the day.

Emery,

Sure sorry to hear that. Hope it's not as badly broken as the right ankle
of our son-in-law, who's here for the holiday. He fell off of a ladder 3
weeks ago and broke the two "worst" bones in the ankle. It's got a plate
and 7 screws (one of which cost $1500) holding it together for "8 to 10
weeks" (I suspect longer) and he, an avid 5-6 mile per day runner, may
never run again. He's getting around on the knee, using either a strap-on
"peg leg" or a strap-on 4-wheeled scooter. Doing well, considering, but
getting stir crazy.

Good luck with the injury!

Paula has so much junk in her ankle she sets off all the scanners. No 8 - 10 weeks, it's been there 15 years or so now. Tell him tough toenails, hope it heals well. Gobble
