Hi All,
I recently purchased a RAGUSA triple battery tray. I pulled up several pictures of coaches with this piece but couldn’t see any hold-downs in the pictures. What are folks using for battery hold-downs with this tray?
In PA, cars are required to have a battery hold-down strap or bracket in order to pass the state inspection. Not sure if motor homes might be different, but it still seems best to secure the batteries to the tray.

I obtained battery hold downs from local Farm & Fleet. Had to drill holes for the hold down screws. Used threaded rod for those. Stated with 1/8" rod but the 6v golf cart battery still broke free. Went to 5/16" rod with no problems so far. We hit a hellva big pothole and I believe that was when it broke.

Funny coincidence as I too ordered a triple battery tray from Ragusa and curious how folks tie down the battery. I bought a '67 Toronado battery hold down clamp with the intention of figuring this out but it looks like the Ragusa tray uses something different.
So, it looks like I will call Jim about battery tie downs.
