Hello everyone
I own a 1977 Palm Beach and never had the guts to talk to the forum but have been following
I have the GMC for about 6 years I live on a steep hill in PA
trying to find a 3.55or3.70 final drive to get me up the hill I can make it but the engine is laboring
Cant afford a new unit Thanks a Bunch Laszlo

You should be able to stop at the bottom, pull it into l;ow manually, and then go easily albeit slowly up without bothering the transmission. As I understand it, the key is manually shift it to second or low, this puts quite a bit more pressure on the clutch packs than letting it downshift itself.
