I would like to say a BIG Thank You to following:
Ken Henderson,C Boyd, Matt Colie, Johnny Bridges, Ken Burton, GMC Ranger, Fipp, jimk, James Hupy, MR ERFisher, and anyone I missed....
I had an alternator issue of having a high output. With the assistance and coaching of these fellows, I seem to corrected the problem (I hope!). I cannot began to explain what I did to fix the issue, other than the last 3 weeks,I've had every wire unhooked and hooked back up, checking for breakage and shorts. (Not finding any, other than booster cable). I've replaced alternators 3 times. Installed a new isolator box, pulled fuse panel (found radio to have a short in it), pulled instrument panel (found terminal harness pins on back of gauges to be broken with 1 pin resting on back of gauge while plugged in terminal connector), and installed the APC or"Alternator Safety Cable" wiring.
With engine running, I have checked every terminal connected to alternator battery, fuse panel, instrument panel that has to do with charging and output, getting the proper readings.
I know I drove these guys, especially Ken Henderson, batty with my "ignorance" and not using the proper "terminology" while trying to explain my issue!
Again, Thank You all for your patience and hopefully I have the issue fixed and will not be rolling in to one of the coach rallies in a "ball of fire" on wheels!!!!
