Recently I purchased 2 tires. My tire of choice these days is the BFGoodrich Commercial T/A tire. They are available locally for about $156 not including installation and tire disposal.

Since many here love the FMCA tire program, I thought I would take a look.

I logged in and entered the info for light truck, clicked on LT225/75R/16 and was presented with a list of 4 BFGoodrich and 2 Michelin tires. The list didn't really show "Commercial T/A". I had to Google the MSPN numbers to find the "BFGOODRICH LT225/75R16115R COMMTAAS2LREGO" which seems to be "Commercial T/A" tire. The price shown is $166.89 which is over $10/tire more than what I can get from the local tire dealers. If I were to spend more to get these "deals" I assume that I would have to find someone to install them etc.

What am I missing here? Does not seem like a good deal to me.

By the way, I emailed FMCA about this (high price and difficulty in the interpretation of the listing) on 2 different occasions and never heard back.
