Does anyone remember the final drive ratio for the 1976 Olds Toronado?

Thanks

I do not remember but it seems there was a lower ratio for a towing package.

Mike,
2.73 comes to mind.

Some had a 2.73 and others had a 3.07 (trailer towing package)

The GMC used the 3.07

I was led to believe it was 3.55. I have one I was planning to use. Can I just count the input and output number of rotations to confirm ratio? That's what we used to do with rear ends, seems it would work on front ends (final drive) too? I'll be pretty disappointed if it is 3.07.

3.55 is not a stock gmc or toronado ratio but it is an after market ratio. If you have a final drive on your bench rotate both axel flanges together at the same time exactly 1 revolution and count how many turns the input shaft turns that is the ratio you have..just like you would check a rear wheel drive rear end
