Stumbled across this fire extinguisher on Leno and was wondering what anyone knows about this product.
Unlike water based products you do not have to protect from freezing.

B'lieve I'd rather AIFF which stays than a gas which falls out of the engine bay. Speak to Bounds.

Output claimed to be a gas. Might be good in an enclosed area such as fridge or genset compartment, but I suspect rather ineffective in an open area such as an engine bay.

Yes, Deb,
It was the Protend. It looks similar to the hand held one but it can be mounted in the Engine or Onan compartment and is set off by heat.

Yes I have a Blazecut in my Onan compartment. How good is it? I can only tell you that after I have a fire to test it. But it should work there because it is in an enclosed area.
I would be leery of using it around the engine area of a GMC.
On this one we are currently looking at, I have no opinion. I looked it up and is say the suppressant is potassium nitrate. I looked up potassium nitrate and see it is used for bombs and tree stump removal among other things. I saw nothing about extinguishing fires.
