Ladies & Gents,
Just finished a two-week 1500 mile trip to northern Minnesota. Coach ran flawlessly.
I’ve got the stock, original 455 with about 160,000 miles on it with a timing chain and water pump replacement at around 130K.
I’d been having overheating problems last year but with a new HD fan clutch, a fancy fan from John Biwersi through JimK and a Robert Shaw thermostat also from JimK the temp is now rock solid normal. Yay.

We left Lincoln at 97 degrees and 78% humidity vowing to drive North until the air was cool. We drove through a cold front before we got to Sioux City and the temp dropped 25 degrees almost immediately. It took another day for that front to hit Lincoln.

In MN I installed the Onan primer circuit that the forum has talked about and a new fuel pump as well. Now the Onan starts and runs flawlessly as well. Yay, once more.

It shouldn’t be news that 1,500 uneventful miles go by, but I guess with a 46 year old vehicle it is. My beloved coach is a project vehicle on its best days, but with good help the demons are vanquished. Many thanks to those who post here regularly and teach the rest of us how to keep ‘em flying.
