What are the options for awnings on the GMC motorhome? Mine came with a Carefree awning, it says Deluxe on one of the vertical pieces. The fabric is shot. The hardware seems to be relatively intact except I assume it had an up/down toggle and that seems to be locked up. It may need some repairs to the hardware.

Is this awning setup worth keeping and repairing? I could get a new fabric, not sure about the hardware parts.

What are the other options for awnings?

It had an aftermarket channel strip screwed onto the roof about 4 inches higher than the stock channel. One end has torn free creating a leak, so I've removed the channel. I'm in the process of cleaning up holes and sealing them up.

Will a new awning require this higher than stock channel or can I seal up all those holes?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

ZipDee is the awning of choice, but expensive, so lot went less expensive
and did not know the short comings.
I can get you the new awning cover for your unit. That is the most cost
effective. We sell lot of the Carefree units for the SOB units, but always
ZipDee for the GMC MH.
