1977 GMC Vandura Scamper [message #344623] Thu, 27 June 2019 21:08 Go to next message
Anonymous   Canada
I am looking to get some information on an old 1977 GMC Vandura Scamper that has been in my grandma's garage for the past 30 years or more. Lots of different papers with lots of numbers that mean nothing to me.

VIN number TGR3374 516882.
Model # TG31603.
Manufacturer Prebuilt Industries Ltd. In Lethbridge Alberta, Trade name: Scamper, Model # 2200 CL (a second model number I found) , Serial # 19642.

Some of these number might be from different things, all papers found in the 1 motorhome. Looks like it is in great condition, doesn't run likely because it has been sitting for over 30 years. Havent really tried getting it started. Anything anyone might know, or know where I could send it to, or if anyone wants to buy it that would be extremely helpful. It needs to be moved out. If anyone needs any other info please let me know and I will try to find it.

Boy, are you on the wrong site for that dinosaur. Try the Paleontology
museum at Drumheller, Canada. (GRIN) seriously, though, you might try
googling the name and see what pops up.

'Vandura' is/was the GMC name for their version of the van that Chevrolet also sold, much like Econoline was the Ford van. Scamper is the camper.
