Wondering about tires. My Michelins with about 500 miles on them are 12 years old. I looked over the comments and a couple of GMCers had used these - 4 NEW LT225/75-16 MILESTAR GRANTLAND 75R R16 TIRES LR E $380 US. Comments?
Eric & Ree '74 ex-Sequoia (parts) '75 Eleganza (TB, exhaust x-over blocking plates, Manny reaction arms and discs, 3"exhaust rear muffler, aux vacuum, fuel tank sealing, rebuilt senders and new rubber, propane hot water heater.) Alexandria, Ontario, Canada

i use:
Nokian Rotiiva HT All-Season Radial Tire
$103.23 ea from Amazon.
3 years 8000 miles and still 60%+ tread on front more on the rears.
You only have 500 miles on 12 year old tires. If they look good, no cracks or defects i wouldn't run out and get new unless you're planning a trip.
Firestone would not be in the cards for me.
1977 Kingsley 455 as stock as it gets except lots of Ragusa parts

Tire tread is lasting longer and our family is driving less. My son-in-law
had a blowout on an aged out tire that looked good and it cost $3000 to
replace the wiring and rest of the inter front fender the tire rip out when
it came apart. This was on his Dodge Avenger. If you can work a deal with a
used tire place that also sells new. Trade tires with them like trading
cars, better to be driving on newer tires than aged out tires.

It has bee discused and agreed that after 5 years the RV tires must be
changed out .
The big problem is that the tread comes seperated and damages the coach .
It does not go flat.
Had one customer that had a tire 5 years old separate and take out the rear
inner fender.
