Just got back from our 2,000 mile vacation.
Only problem was the boot splitting on the drivers side axel. Since new, the boot never looked correct. The ribs never really fully expanded. They always looked twisted, and collapsed.
Not to be creepy, but since new, it never looked right. It looked like a ribbed condom with a vacuum pump on the inside, with creases, and sorta twisted... not fully inflated, or uniform... crap I'm going to hell, but true explanation of that.....
Couple of questions.
1. Half shafts only have 8.000 miles on them. Seems like the boot should get more longevity than that.
2. My ride heights are correct. 13 1/8" up front. That is what the manual says. I've heard 12 1/2" might be better . 13 1/8 has a pretty good bend at the boot. Opinions on that????
3. I've replaced both sides with rebuilt ones 8,000 miles ago, and it was a pain in the a**. But I've forgotten which side was the worst. Any reminders on that?
Unfortunately, I think it's going to be the drivers side...

And opinions or volunteers would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks again
