As in all such things where technology development is sliding down a cost/performance curve, the real question is at what battery/technology cost would this conversion make sense? We all likely have an intuitive idea that it will make sense some day, so best now to focus on the parameters that would incent us to spend the time and money to make the switch.
My guess is all the other parts that make a Gmc unique will be hopelessly obsolete before changing the drive train will make any sense at all.
