Evening all,
I apologize ahead of time for how long winded this will be but to understand it completely I need to start at the beginning.
I few years ago I Had the socket in the left lower A arm let go and I was able to get the T bar out with a little work and I did the makeshift repair of putting a spacer in the front of the socket to get the t bar to bite into the reinforced area, I moved the porkchop mount bar back accordingly and it really gave me no problems. Don't remember the man's name who would get a few people together and order a batch of new T bars, These had the extended hex area so I could put t bar back in the socket to the original position, thought it was a great ideal so I got a set. When I went to install them and the bars went down in the sockets where they belong there was so much straight shank that there was no wiggle room to pull the bars over to the porkchops, could be done with a comealong on each side but there was such a bow put on them I put it back with the spacers and back like I had it before, but with the new bars. I've always had a problem with my unloader tool wanting to fall over under load and become useless even with the stock pork chops and even worse with the adjustable ones I use. Tried to use the tool and it is totally useless, it is in the way of the bolt and no adjustment available short of turning the bolt without the adjuster. My questions are has anyone had the problems I had with the new extended hex T bars and what tool are others using to unload I currently use the one that looks like a U bolt, I have always kept it lubed up with neverseize. Has anyone else have experience with the adjustable porkchops by Maxxcam. Also all a arm bushings are in good shape. Just trying to tweek in the front ride heighth. All comments, ideals, and suggestion welcomed.
