I find it has pretty good power. I'm away from coach now but can confirm any measurements later in the day.

Any idea if that Dyson works better than the Dirt Devil Central vac
that's a direct replacement for the GMC OEM vac?

The unit has enough suction. It lacks a powered brush head. You can upgrade to a turbo type carpet head. Or go all out and put a modern port in with added 125VAC power and buy an "electric" hose with powered head. I have this type setup at home. On the wand the low volt switch turns on the vac at the first detent, then moving it to the second detent turns on the brush headas well. . Added benefit is on/offf at your thumb instead of having to unplug the hose to pause.
