I am recalling a MYTH BUSTERS show where they were looking for something that could be used
to apply to a cinderblock wall to add strength, to protect against forces such as hurricane
force impacts.

On the show, in true MYTH BUSTERS tradition, they built several cinderblock walls then used
a home made cannon to shoot 2x4 studs at it to mirror hurricane force winds, animating a
stud from a home into the walls.

One wall was left untreated and I do not recall what they applied to the other two walls,
but impact of the 2x4 stud either destroyed the wall or ripped a huge hole in it.

THE LAST WALL had an application of TRUCK BED LINER on the surface and try as they may,
The stud was unable to penetrate the protective coating. I do not believe it even made
a hole on impact, it's been a while since I saw the video.

TRUCK BED LINER comes in various colors, BLACK, WHITE and CLEAR may be of interest to us.

The water tank in my GMC is original and is still intact. WHen I shine a light on it I can
see surface cracks, otherwise you'd never know age has had any bearing on it.

I had commented on the AirConditioner cap beginning to show signs of UV damage, beginning
to become brittle.

Also I have had thoughts on the Fantastic vent covers. When I bought my Fantastic vent,
I opted for the flat cover. I was told that model cover tended to not last just by virtue
of the flat design, mine is still in good condition though I can see weather and UV is
starting to dull the finish.

SO MY THOUGHTS ARE that the WATER TANK can be coated with BED LINER to reinforce the walls,
TOP AND BOTTOM, of the water tank. Seems simple enough to do, roll the product on, let it
cure and the strength would be restored. Easier than laying a layer of fiberglas over the tank.

THE AC COVER can be coated with a layer of WHITE bed liner. Texture does not really matter,
the white UV protection would protect the cover and the strength of the bed liner would
hold the cover together long after the AC is non operational.

THE FANTASTIC VENT COVER can be coated with CLEAR bed liner. Still get the strength of the
bedliner, the UV protection and will still allow light to come through.

If this should work, and at this time I can't think of any reason it would not, there can
be multiple other uses for such a product.

Would anyone else think that this may be a good fix or is there a better resolution???

Thinking out loud again.
