Something that can be confusing is entry to the fair grounds. The note sent to all attendees as of March 15th says this:

Arriving at the Convention

Please note that the facility is a fairground. For our security, the fairgrounds has gates with codes to access the property. The gates are open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The South Monroe Street gate (west side of the fair) is the official Convention entrance gate which is open between 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Follow directional signs to registration.
For attendees arriving after 5:00 pm please enter thru the gate on Tram Road (south side of the fair). The gate code is 3407. Pull in and go into Lot B on the right side (electric is available) register in the morning.

Pay attention to this. The gates are set to automatically close at 5:00 on the dot. If you pull into that entrance, your towed may be hanging out into traffic with the gate closed. As the note says, after 5:00 you must go to the Tram Road entrance, and use the key pad to open the gate using the code in the above note. Tram Road runs along the South perimeter of the Fair Grounds. No address available for that entrance. The key pad is on the left. And again... Both gates open 8:00-5:00, and this is for those arriving AFTER 5:00pm. Then in the morning, please leave the Fairgrounds by that same entrance and go to the main entrance. Roads going from Lot B up to registration are VERY rough.

An extra bit of information, if using a GPS to get to the fair grounds, the address listed for the Fairgrounds will get you to an old entrance that is no longer an entrance. There is not an address for the main entrance. So instead, use this address for a Bank (Capitol City Bank) across the street from the main entrance. I will give you this address with the caveat that it is Across the street from the Fair Ground entrance So look on the East side of the street, not the west. I just went out and tested this address with my GPS and it brought me ACROSS THE STREET from the main entrance to the Fairgrounds.

It is 3404 S. Monroe St. Again, this is ACROSS THE STREET from the Fairground entrance.

Hope this helps those coming to GMCMI Tallahassee. Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Seems likely to me that if a person can navigate clear across the USA to
find Tallahassee, Florida, that a gate in a fairgrounds fence shouldn't be
a problem. Just a thought. (Grin)

Thanks Larry!

Being that I am "directionally challenged" this navigation information helps immensely. I would have been trying to enter on Paul Russell Blvd, the address listed for the fairgrounds.

We are planning to arrive Friday late afternoon. With any luck the GMC will make it.

This may be a little trivial but the boss wants to know if there are picnic tables in the area where you park.
