Keep in mind that the FMCA magazine has carried several very flattering articles about GMCs over the years.

At one point GMCs were the largest single mark in FMCA and still remain an important member group for the them. As a matter of interest, as if the last membership statistics I saw there still appear to be more GMC owner members that towable members.

The editors of magazines like this one are always interested in well written articles they think would be of interest to the majority of their members. They likely would not be interested in suggestions for them to write about narrow niche market topics that would only be of interest to a small number of members. So, if you come up with an idea for an article you think would be of broad interest, write it up and submit it for consideration along with several high quality photos. That is what some west coast GMC owners did a while back about GMCs being featured at an auto show and that very positive GMC article was quickly published

I am a President of the GMC Cascaders, and our FMCA dues provides Umbrella
insurance for our Chapter Rallies and Gatherings. If you don't think that
is a significant benefit, you must not reside in any place with lawyers.
Many venues that we use, demand riders of a million dollars or more. Call
your agent, and price it out. You will be convinced of the value.

And as in any organization, get involved. Vote, volunteer, participate. The
squeaky and/or helpful wheel gets the grease. I, too, read the article and
though it wasn't the most positive regarding GMCs, it wasn't the hatchet
job a lot of you are making it out to be.
