The interior was impressive. Not fond of the exterior treatment. The title of the article was correct. Took a piece of junk. Put expensive lipstick on it. I've been working on getting GMC's in different publications. And big national car shows. Had some good success. I've contacted FMCA 3 times over the last 2 years. The last try was in December. Each time it's been. Sounds like a great idea. We'll get back to you. Thanks for the input. Then got ZIP. NOTHING. I've come away with the feeling of being the welcomed relative that came with a gift. ( In this case my dues.) Then ignored in hopes that I'd find the exit door out very soon. They do a great job covering the latest high dollar rigs. At least they did the last time that I looked inside the cover several years. Just before I trashed the copy in the round file. Their including trailers now has just saved FMCA's ass. So when will FMCA put the trailers under the same BIG bus that they used on us? I too am NOT happy with them. But they like me when they get my dues. Well. At least till they open the next envelop with a check. Going out to the shop today. To remove the FMCA tag off both the GMC's. And the trailer. I have heard similar comments from others.
FMAC seems one sided to me. But then there are those that claim FMAC offers courtesies to bring you into the fold.

The Price editorial was one sided and a slurr onto the real GMC community. At least it is in my eyes.

For us who have worked hard to make our GMC motorhomes the better coach that it is, the article is sort of a
slap in the face.

As for the GMC coach itself, they show that a vintage coach was so well made that it has endured for 40 years
and it took an owner with bad ideas and a lot of money to mess it up and then go crying to a public magazine
to tear it down.

FMAC is showing it is irresponsible for printing such untrue crying by one owner who appearantly was looking to
get into the lime light for one reason or the other. Why didn't FMAC catch this before they printed it? They
know the coach for what it really is. I don't understand such a horrendous blunder on their part and they certainly
owe us an article about the TRUE GMC MOTORHOME, to offset this bias, as well as an apology to the GMC community.

Do you really think it is worth joining FMAC? I have attempted this a couple times now and there are road blocks
stopping me. I don't get it.

That's the same as Car and Driver, Motor Trend and Road and Track displaying cars that only a select few can afford and snubbing nice rat rods and hot rods. I don't buy them and don't belong to a group that only wants my money and gives no recognition to our group. Alas, I can't join a local GMC club without belong to FMCA. Catch 22. Just the way I feel....Tom

FMCA provides the liability insurance coverage for the clubs while at rallies. This umbrella protection might be expensive for smaller groups to purchase on their own. JMTC.
