So Okay folks, The bearing part no on the appropriate Cardone water pump is
WR1938165 stamped into the FAN end of the inner shaft. The "R" signifies a
roller-ball Bearing. With a bearing of this type, The rollers give us
increased load capacity and longer life.
THE REST OF THE STORY
The origin of this nomenclature goes back to my Hoover Ball and Bearing
days. The shaft of the bearing is the "inner" raceway, the "outer" raceway
is press-fit into the housing. The original bearing designed for our Water
pump was a 885810, a Ball Ball design with two raceway tracks or groves.
With advent of increased loads by hanging more accessories on the front of
the engine like Power steering, Air Conditioning, etc........ one of the
ball grooves became a stress point when overloaded producing short life and
fractures. The updated and increased load bearing design "nomenclature" was
665810. (885 is a Ball Ball, the 665 is a roller ball ) Other Bearing
Manufacturers added "R" in their bearing nomenclature to signify Roller.

Living on a waterfront is not a matter of life or death. Its more
important than that.
