Has anyone installed the Holley Sniper EFI on a 455 yet? If so, did you use the Base kit, or the Master kit? How did you handle the fuel return line? Did you use it with the GM HEI dizzy?
Any problems? Do you like it...
Tnx Bruce

I am going to install the Holley Sniper EFI QuadraJet soon. Going to order it next week. I am also going to install the Holley Sniper HyperSpark ignition system that consists of the distributor, CDI box and coil. I will not be using the master kit. I will be using the FiTech Fuel Injection Force Fuel System. https://www.jegs.com/i/FITech-Fuel-Injection/546/50004/10002/-1 This allows me to have the fuel pump submerged in fuel (inside the FiTech) It also has a fuel pressure regulator inside it.
Why am I doing this? It allows me to leave the low pressure fuel line in place. The FiTech is mounted to the firewall in the engine compartment. The high pressure fuel line is run from the FiTech to the Sniper EFI throttle body. The low pressure line that is between the fuel pump and the old QuadraJet carb will be re-routed from the fuel pump to the FiTech. If you want to use an electric fuel pump instead of the mechanical fuel pump you can mount it anywhere on the frame between the tank selector switch and the FiTech, and then remove the mechanical fuel pump and put on a block-off plate. The main reason is the high pressure fuel pump will last longer submerged in 1/2 gallon of cool fuel. The FiTech also has a pressure gauge on it.
I will run the return line from the FiTech, not the Sniper EFI throttle body. I will cap the return port on the Sniper EFI throttle body. I also don't need to run the return line back to the tank. I will attach it on the furl filler tube that is easily accessed from the top hatch and the left wheel well. The cost of the FiTech is $430, but I want this system to work well and that is worth the $$ to me.
I decided t goo with the HyperSpark ignition because with it I have control of the timing from the driver's seat. Also the whole system was designed to work together seamlessly.
I've attached my EFI Parts List. It may change here and there, but the bulk of it is good to go.

Silver Bullet - can you elaborate on how your Holley Sniper setup is working out for you? I’m considering efi and looking heavily at the Holley with the Hyperspark ignition and also considering the Fitech fuel system. Is there anything you would do different? Was the install of all parts and pieces fairly easy? Have you had any problems with this setup?
Thanks so much for any insight you can provide!

Unsure of what upgrades may have been done. I'm working on sorting that out in the coming months.

Stay away from Fi Tech.
We have encountered too many issues.
MSD or Holly is good.
Your best overall is the Howell Based unit using a EBL Flash drive ECM and
a Full electronic control, no Vac or Mechanical advance.
Cost more, but 95% of parts are available. All the others your going to
wait till the factory ships.
Also we have around 300 GMC MH owners running them and have few guys that
can assist you 7 days a week.
If you drive in town only the others will be good.

Thanks JimK for the wisdom! Are you going to be offering your 10% off gift certificates this Holiday season? I think Santa might be bringing me some motorhome parts!
