We have State Farm at $260 a year. liability, collision, glass breakage, under/no insured, towing, $250 deductible, and $1,250,000 medical. No stated value. With the fire claim. We got $25,000, and they delivered the burned GMC to our house in Cedar Rapids Iowa. From Hastings Nebraska. About 400 miles. I salvaged about $15,000 from that 78 Royale. I got a check from them. 7 days after the fire claim was turned in. That great service. Even with the Nebraska State Fire Marshal saying that it was arson. And that I set the fire. That was a trip on it's own. Bob Dunahugh I love State Farm.

other co think that using a book they subscribe is all they go by.
All the people I have Appraised , when they had major damage claim were
treated properly.

Spend the $ on the appraisal from Applied. If I did not have one my carrier
would have totaled it after a big deer strike and handed me 10 grand. As it
turned out they paid over 20 grand and would’ve paid more if repairs crept
upward. Make sure you understand your policy. Finding out later what they
will pay is too late.

I had one that received $ 80,000 when the underbody was totally mangled.
Anther received 50,000 when it burned.
Appraised price is always two to three times over selling prices

Jim,
How long does an appraisal take?
I also need to get the front wheel bearings serviced/replaced.
Maybe April before I can get it to you.

JimK appraised mine at Amana several years ago and it seems like the way to go. I've also always used State Farm for all my vehicles, homes, etc. and have always been treated very fairly.
