We recently had a thread about automotive museums. Here's one that wasn't
mentioned. Previously unknown to me, it seems to be one those near Oxnard,
CA shouldn't miss:

Thank you for this. There are some beautiful autos there.
In the last few pictures, I noticed the art deco beams holding up the roof.

Ken,
I will be in Santa Monica over New Years and will try to see the Mullin Museum. We saw the LeMay American Auto Museum in Tacoma last month.
Here is a link to an antique plane / car museum in Hood River Oregon that looks very interesting.

Y'all don't forget the Evergreen Museum in Mcminnville, Oregon. Dedicated
to flight. Spruce Goose, SR -71, Russian lunar lander, Glomar Explorer,
lots of Drones, Combat aircraft, 747 water slide, Omnimax theatre. Ask Ken
Henderson, I took him there.
Cars?
World of speed, Wilsonville, Oregon. Exhibits constantly change,
Nascar, etc.

If you get to the Mullin, try to take a look at the Murphy Automobile Museum, about 1/2 mile away. Totally different concept and has a model railroad setup in there. Here the website, http://www.murphyautomuseum.org/

A week ago another GMCer asked me if we could fly to Clemson, SC to see Clemson beat Duke. We flew there Saturday morning and I had a ball running around with all of the 20 and 30 year olds well into the morning at the local pubs and pizza places. It took us a little over 4 hours to fly there from NW Indiana (Chicago area). As part of the follow up to that flight I learned from another GMCer about a private aviation, museum near Cincinnati It is adjacent to the field at Clermont County Airport Batavia, OH. It is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I am planning to fly over there next Saturday (weather permitting).

Oh yes, undefeated Clemson is rated #2 in the nation behind Alabama and ahead of our local Notre Dame. It looks like it will be Clemson vs. Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl. I do not know which one to root for.

I had an inside contact give me a tour of the Spruce Goose right after they
moved it North from Long Beach. It was still dismantled at the time. I stood
next to, and touched, one of the horizontal stabilizers. It was unbelievably
huge! I was fascinated as I could see and feel intricate internal fittings
and mounts made so long ago. I haven't been back to see the display since,
but it's on my list.

If you're ever in Sacramento, the California Automobile Museum is definitely
worth a look. It's about a mile and a half South (along the river) from Old
Sacramento, where the railroad museum and running trains is located. Web
site here: www.calautomuseum.org

I'm going to be in Mcminnville in early part of next year. Visiting the Aviation museum is definitely on my list. Looking forward to seeing the Spruce Goose. I can't believe it that something that large can be made out of wood. What a testament to craftsmanship.

When you get to Tallashaee for GMCMI Spring 2019 rally, do not miss the Tallashaee Auto museum. It is located along south side of I-10, heading East toward Lake City. Many interesting things, not only cars. Largest collection of golf clubs that I have ever seen. A beautiful steam powered boat.

You are going to International?

Thanks Tom, for that Tallahassee Museum, I added it to my Google Maps list Wink
Did not know it was close to town, and since we are planning to come back to the USA end of Februari, booked our KLM/Delta Flights already Wink
Driving from Marana, AZ to Tallahasse, attending the GMCMI Spring Convention, it should be nice to visit this also.

This one is really something. Not open to public. Just prearranged groups, corporate events and car clubs. Hidden in old Chicago industrial buildings all siamessed together. A lot of everything. Www.klairmontkollections.com. Larry is in his 90s and very sharp to talk to.
