Emery, et al,
It's not firmed up yet, but most likely I'll have my aunt's farm available
for those wanting to boondock there between FMCA Perry & GMCMI
Tallahassee. The farm is 48.3 miles west of the GA National Fairground and
consists of 250 acres of mostly woodlands, with enough grassed roads, etc.,
to accommodate probably 100 GMC's -- with only 3 full hookups, the rest dry
camping. There's a barn for work/meetings, a 3 BR cabin and other
buildings that we COULD use, a catfish pond, and a bass & bream pond, both
well stocked and seldom fished.
Let me know if you're interested.

We will be at Perry. Last year, there were 3 GMC's there. One with the Minstrels music group and 2 way out in the boondocking field. Sure looked tiny compared to the SOB's that depreciated more while sitting there than a GMC costs.
We were on the parking crew, and expect to help park again next Spring. Perry is interesting. Vendors booths are fun, if not totally GMC related. Fun evenings and good social hours.

Over the years we’ve been to many FMCA rallies. The first was at Centerville Michigan, I believe in 1974. Others were Sioux Falls, Pomona(twice), Perry (twice), Los Cruses, Sacramento, and some others. However we haven’t gone in over ten years.
We are looking forward to going again

We used attend the International Rally's on pretty much a biannual clip and I can tell you that when you're a working stiff some of the trips could be really heroic. One year we attended the Georgia Rally and went on over to Savannah with friends to 'look' around. Ended up we had to be back to work so made the 2200+ mile return in two days-and my best friend doesn't drive the Bus so it was all on me. We did these for over 20 years, seldom missing any of them. After a while many of the 'old' friends started to drop out and our pre-rally's went from 130 coaches to under 20. We still attend once in a while but most often just hit the regional's in the west and rocky mountains.
Now that we've joined GMCMI we have attended the last three and plan on many more, Lord willing. A great group of folks, well run programs and we all have the same unique disease.
