The last spot at Cracker Barrel near Roanoke as we pulled in was wedged
between two much bigger RVs.

YGBKM #1. Coach on the left is a 42-foot pusher dragging a towd, and the
had all their left-side slides out, forcing them to crowd into our space at
the forward end. Fortunately, we didn’t need their forward end—they were
longer than two of us. Seems to me that a coach that big ought to be
navigable with the slides in. I’ve always though putting slides out was
poor form while boondocking.

YGBKM #2. Coach on the right is a schoolie, and in the middle of the night
they fired up their diesel generator. Six campers parked two feet from each
other, and they are running a generator? Grrrr.

YGBKM #3. Monday morning (as in about 4AM) is when Cracker Barrel takes a
delivery, from a tractor trailer truck that has been sitting there idling
for 3.5 hours (so far). Can’t really complain about that, of course—we are
boondocking, after all. But still.

YGBKM #4. About 20 miles from stopping last night, driving in a downpour,
and enjoying my electric wipers, the blade on the starboard wiper arm comes
off and is hanging sideways. Diagnosis later this morning, but I suppose
I’m destined to drive the 20 miles north of Roanoke at night, in rain, with
no wipers. BTDT. Good news—should be no more rainy driving on this trip.

I do wish I81 wasn’t between us and...everywhere.

Time for breakfast.
