Their sentence structure, and the words that we don't use in the way they do. Your utmost urgent response requested. Must buy them now. Their out of town on holiday in Dallas. Their mover will pick the 4 wheel disc brake system up at your most earliest convenience. Red flags all over that e-mail. Then the attempt to get my personal information. Another red flag. Really stands out. That info is their treasure. Kind of entertaining to read. Besides. A real GMC owner would want to talk about their GMC, and yours FIRST. RIGHT. Bob Dunahugh

I have seen that email in numerous iterations any time I have listed anything on kijiji that is of any value. These guys have a bot that scans all of the craigslist, kijiji, etc listings and when something new pops up in a category they are interested in, you will get an email almost immediately after it is posted.

They are always "on vacation", "for their son who is out of the country", "currently serving in the Middle East", "working/in school out of province/state" so you need to ship to an address other than their official paypal address. Always offer to pay exactly what you ask, sight unseen, (or more!) plus they will send a "shipper" to pick it up and will pay by paypal (including the shipping costs - which they ask you to pass along to the shipper!) The paypal transaction gets cancelled, you can't find the "buyer" and you are now out not only your item, but also the shipping fee that they "sent" you to pass on to the shipper. And paypal won't cover it because it was delivered to somewhere other than their verified paypal address.

There was actually a GMC on eBay a couple of years ago that was the same scam in reverse! I was coach shopping at the time and had a delightful time giving her/him/it the run-around. Couldn't come by to see it because it was already "Packaged for shipping". It was a seriously "too good to be true" deal, which means it wasn't even a real coach! Had the same picture of another coach that was already listed on craigslist, in another location, which, as I recall, was also a scam.
