Applied carries the product. I recently got over a mile and a half increase
in gas mileage. But the biggest thing is the decrease in temperature
generated as the friction is reduced. Do not think of this as an oil
additive. It is a treatment carried by the oil. Jim doesn't really know
anything about the product other than what I have told him. If you want more
info, contact me directly.

Absolutely correct. It is not an additive, though I think the ads called it a TREATMENT.

Rumor was that it coated the metal surfaces, including the cylinders and reduced the wear
of the rings against the cylinders and other moving metal parts.
Motor rebuilders didn't like an engine treated with SLICK50 because it was a lot more work
to be able to hone the cyclinders because they had to REMOVE the SLICK50 treatment.

And Heat reduction is absolutely one of the attributes of this product.

SO...... what does Jim the mushroom call this product, in case there is interest...??????

That was an excuse to charge more. Back then Slick 50 was just plain oil with about 7% Dag 30 added. The reason rebuilders didn't it was that honing either for finish or size would go well. But when you did the kerosene and white rage to clean the bore, your first pass clean the honing debris just fine, but the next three passes brought out the green color of the MoS2. Well, you are supposed to keep washing until it is clean.....

I know about this and so expected it and also modified the washing procedure to accommodate then MoS2 coming out of the cylinder walls.
