I'm a true believer in Slick 50, having treated over 50 vehicles and that
many airplanes. And yes, John Bishop, the inventor, still makes the stuff.

I thought that was pretty much put to rest back in 1998 when the FTC filed charges against the maker of Slick 50 for misleading claims and fabricating tests.

They did the same thing against STP about the same time.

My friend likes to quote his old auto shop teacher "If you have to add stuff to your oil, maybe you bought the wrong oil".
Don't try to convince a Facebook Seafoam devotee. They are stubborn about how great that stuff is. And like to post smoking Seafoam videos. Not so sure their cat converters agree about being flooded with hydrocarbons.
And the Lucas Oil Stabilizer guys. I guess lots of unstable oil is bing sold. Is it tipping over on the shelf? Does Lucas fix that? No but they did help pay for sports staduim naming rights with their spent cash.
