Looking forward to using Gatsby's Cruiser when this dark cloud finally blows over. I want to try to attend some of the rallys with my dogs but it seems some of them require that you be an FMCA member.
The problem I ran into was you have to have a second person on the enrollment form or it won't accept you.
So...... anyone have this problem, or perhaps I should list Gatsby as the second party to the enrollement?
There is no big rush, the final work will be done on Gatsby either end of this month or Early next month and I still have to get the interior ready to live in again. I figure my first rally will be next year.
Thanks for any information you can share.

SLC,
You seem to have missed something.
There are more than a few single members of both FMCA and any GMCXX chapter. So, get on the form and try again.
You are also invited to attend any single FMCA event without joining. (It may cost more.)
You sure can join, if you still care to do so.
Hope to meet you in Amana.

I went "OLD SCHOOL" on FMCA and avoided the internet form. 2 weeks ago I called them on the phone. A very helpful and friendly lady got me all signed up with virtually no effort on my part. Better yet, I was able to avoid using some of four letter words seem to flow from my mouth when using a difficult website. Try it, I think you'll like it.

Jim Galbavy wrote on Thu, 12 July 2018 11:59Not clear. Are you trying to join FMCA? If having a problem with the
online application, call the FMCA office in Cinn., Ohio. They will work
it over the phone. ALL GMC (TZE) Clubs require membership in FMCA for
the liability coverage of Club members, officers and the campgrounds from
liability issues.

No, I don't think you missed anything. I attempted a quick enrollment online. First I left the second person blank, would not accept, then I tried putting in NONE, and the answer was NOPE!
I tried a couple things but could not pass GO and collect anything.
I'll try agian, or call.
I'm not in a hurry. Gatsby is finally seeing some light at the end of this freaking tunnel. I had put on the cables for the Parking brake, ( Gats hasn't had a park brake since I owned her. Last week replaced the rear brake pads and cleaned everything up. Had them adjusted today and now GATSBY HAS A PARKING BRAKE THAT WORKS.
This on top of actually being able to drive Gatsby after such a long down time.
Gatsby will be getting some new shoes (tires) soon as I figure what to get, and taking her to Cinnabar engineering to drop the tanks, replace fuel lines. Hopefully we will see some hard evidence of what this problem has been all this time.
Been livening systems up now. She hasn't deteriorated too much and what has is coming back or being replaced.
This is a very exciting time now. SOON I should be able to attend some of these rally events that I have read about.
Thanks for the info.

I was just out looking at the FMCA Online form and for the secondary member information the first question asked is that“Will you have a secondary member on your account?”, YES/NO. Did you check the NO box? Also were you using the FAMILY MEMBERSHIP application as you can check the link to do the Commercial Member application?
As for the FMCA insurance or possibly going with another supplier after looking at all the data it was a no-brainer for GMCMI. Most of the inquired suppliers did not have a group plan for motorhome clubs that was even affordable. Our regional GMCMI representative was involved in researching the possible options that could be used. The GMCGL were very aware of the information that was being collected. We as a club put on 6 rallies a year and the coverage by the FMCA is basically no cost to the club as a very small portion of each FMCA membership dues pays for the insurance spread across the entire membership base. The rallies ( 5 ) that I have done over the years for the GMCGL, I called the FMCA office and gave them the information that they needed and I had an insurance rider sent to me in less than 2 hours in an Email. You can’t get any easier than that.

I looked into purchasing liability insurance per event for the Cascaders.
Several agents told me to stay with FMCA. They could not match coverage or
price.

I don't recall If I had seen it, but I will re-visit it again soon.
Gatsby seems to be coming back strong this time and as you probably can tell, I am excited that I may be back on the road soon.
Thanks for the comment.

Hey
Well, I must have missed something. We'll see.
If all else fails, I can list Gatsby as the second. I don't think they appreciate the humor if I listed one of my Greyhounds, though I'd think it would have some humor to it.
Thanks for the smile.
