Well, I figured out why I have what looks like two lines going to my kitchen sink. When the water heater was put in (who knows when) to replace the furnace (who knows why) they setup the cold line originally going to the sink T off into the water heater fill, then the line coming from the water heater Ts into the hot side of the sink, thus feeding the bathroom with hot water.
Anyway, I tried what I thought would be easy task of putting in a new sink, single basin same cutout, deeper by a few inches. this meant cutting into the top drawer, I easily shortened that up, slid the side over to the middle so now it's half the width. But, when it comes to the drain, of course it doesn't line up. Adding in two elbows to get it over and to the drain pushes the ABS plastic down, and come to find out, the input of the sink drain to the pipe that goes down to the black tank is almost as high as the sink drain itself. Meaning, water doesn't drain... Why on earth is the drain to the tank not 4" lower? Has anyone else put in a deeper sink and had this problem?
I'm off to the hardware store again to see if I can get a ABS to PVC threaded connection and hook up my flexible PVC pipe. With the stock J trap out, I think I can hook up something that won't push the whole pipe so low the water doesn't get out. But sheesh...
some photos here. not included were my constant "phone a friend" photos with "what the hell do i do now?"

When I installed a deeper sink in my coach I had the same drainage problem so I made my own P-trap in the long (24"-30") run of pipe along the back of the cabinet using a couple of elbows. That did not require changing the slope of the pipe. Once that was installed I could run the drain from the sink to that pipe with only an elbow. It was close but worked and I never had any problems with drainage.

Awesome, I think I need to do that too, so you you cut the ABS pipe? I just went to FW Webbs, and they sent me off with new Ptrap makings and a glue job- and I think the wrong size pipe. Is the ABS 1 1/4"?
Can you share a photo?

You might look into the Hepvo traps. They might be just what you need.

Here's a pic of what I did when I installed a deeper sink. I have marginally enough fall. It drains fine and the movement of the coach, while underway, gets all the water out of the pretty flat drainpipe behind the cabinets.

For my trip Wednesday, I might get a fernco and latch onto the ABS and send PVC off it.
Or, what I have now, nipple off the drain into a 1" clear tube into a bucket

Jim,
I do not currently need any parts. Was just passing on the info of the

what was the single piece you got that attaches to the drain and has an elbow in it? that seems like it helped keep you up higher.
I assume you cut the ABS at the wall and attached to it there? That is probably what I'll be doing for a permanent fix. I may get one of those Hevpro traps for a horizontal run.

I don't remember what that piece is called, I just got the lowest profile (shallowest) drain I could find and found the shortest bend fitting I could find to attach to it. It's been six or seven years since i did all that, so my memory is a little vague on it. I can't remember if I got the parts from Ace Hardware, Home de[pot, or from Ferguson Plumbing Supply. My guess is that a specialty plumbing supply company, like Ferguson, would be the best place to shop for specialty fittings etc.
