Good catch. Most of these have automatic transmissions that are not towable four down. While there is some debate about whether or not the standard trans models are towable four down, with either the standard trans or the auto you can install a drive line disconnect and tow without issue. The most desirable of these have locking rear difs and windows around the top edge of the high roof versions and very large sun roofs as well. Much like the old pre-67 VW 23 window vans. So far Sharon still has her NO sign out, but who knows…… Somehow she thinks nearing 80 is not the time to go four wheeling on long forgotten roads. I wonder why.
