I have had a macerator ever since I got the plumbing working on my coach. I have always had access to a dump station or at least a sewer cleanout that served as a dump station. I have never had to dump into a toilet.
But now it appears we may be staying somewhere long enough that we will need to dump, but will not have easy access to a dump station or sewer cleanout. Our only option will be to dump into a toilet. So what do I need to know about this? How do you dump 30 gallons into a toilet that usually flushes only a few gallons at a time? Do you shut off the water to the toilet, and hold the flush valve down or what? Also, about how many feet of hose can a macerator generally pump though? I may need to obtain a longer hose to reach the toilet. I only have about 8 feet of hose now.
