Hi all,
About 3 years ago I was re-doing my 23 foot GMC and decided to remove the generator, place 420 watts of PV panels on the roof and put two 100 amp hour lithium batteries back where the old generator battery used to live. So far all has worked out very well. Only downside, no roof top AC. We live in Alberta so maybe that will not be a problem if we do not go too far south!
18 months ago we left the summerless north to be in the antipodes. Unfortunately the coach was left behind. (we are on a 2 year church assignment to set up a museum) The couch has only been used a couple of times while we are in NZ but the batteries and solar panels have been left connected. I will report on the condition of the system in a couple of months when we return.
Anybody have any suggestions for AC that does not need 110 volt supply? I have yet to find one except to cover all the windows from outside and park in the shade.
