You know how sometimes you follow a YouTube rabbit hole and end up in a totally unexpected places...
Well, after one of these "Alice In Wonderland" rabbit hole trips, I came across the video where they proudly show how they build (or should I say slap together) modern travel trailers. Watching that clip my hair stood on the back of my neck. I could not believe how poorly these things are built. I will never look the same way at the travel trailers when going past them on the road. It looks like the employees were running. No glue on the wood joints.
My granddaughter and her hubby bought a Jayco trailer. I was looking in the storage areas
and could see the supports for the bed. Skinny little pieces of wood that were coming apart
because of only one staple. The roof sprung a leak soon after they bought it.
A real POS.

Thanks for sharing. On the plus side, many of the workers looked Amish which usually means a decent level of skill and work ethics from my experience.
These are stick built which are the cheapest and least durable trailers. The better ones now have welded aluminum frames.
That said we were looking for a travel trailer to replace the GMC and the one we like has such terrible quality reviews we decided that new ones were out of the
question. Too many owners reported multiple warranty returns and days spent going over them for minor issues.
Ours were built by union employees with decades of experience and designed for quality not cost.

I love that video.
It also makes me glad I don't own one of those, but its fun to watch how quickly and efficiently those get built!
