I'm installing a new relay arm in my coach.
I understand there needs to be a space between the casting and the washer when assembled, so that the bolt clamps the large end of the spool on one end and the washer resting on the spool at the other end.
My existing spool, when assembled with the new relay arm, is too short and allows the washer to contact the casting instead, thereby preventing the arm from rotating.
What should that space measure? (i.e., how much longer should the spool shaft be than the length of the hole in the casting?)
