Recently someone posted here about what to do with the purge line from the EEC cannister when you go to Fitech since it only has one ported vacuumn source. I used the set up on my 2012 GMC Sierra work truck. I know it isn't using the preferred ported vacuumn but it works good, I got a AC Delco 214-1680 purge valve and a PT2784 wiring harness from Amazon. The one on the 2012 GMC of course uses the computer to control it but since we don't have that I used the unused fan control circuit from the Fitech and programed it to trigger a relay which I have turning on the purge valve, on at 172 and off at 168, I have 180 Tstat. You have to use a relay because the fan control circuit has limited capacity and it is designed to supply the negative to the relay to activate it instead of the positive like we normally do. I did drill out a bolt to 1/8 inch hole, made a restricter, and put it in the line off of the right hand manifold vacuumn port on the Fitech. The lighter colored end of the purge valve goes to the vacuumn source. Something else I noticed on the 2012 GMC it is on manifold vacuumn also. It works great if you can watch it when it reaches temp the AFR on the Fitech goes down (richer) for a few seconds and as soon as the O2 sensor notices it it straightens right out. Easy to test by setting the fan on temp as low as you can it will make the motor stumble when it is not up to temp. Noticed considerably better starting when the motor is warmed up, probably the restricter has a alot to do with that. I also forgot to mention I don't have the thermal vacuumn valve because of the built motor I have. Also the wiring harnesss will work either way no polarization. Just how I Kobiashi Marooed mine, If you know what that means, Live long and prosper.
