Thanks Russell. I remember that switch. Great idea. So I went to Iowa Radio. The switch that they had was from GC Electronics. Part number35-086. Has ON- OFF- momentary ON. SPDT. Very well made, NOT from China. They also had a screw on rubber cover for that switch. As my switch is behind the license plate with all my water, and electrical hookups. Russell. Great input. Bob,
The GC Electronics switch 35-086 is only rated at 6 Amps @ 125VAC, so its DC rating will even be lower. Use it to power a 30-40 Amp cube relay as Ken Burton suggested. Otherwise the DC current will act like an arc welder every time you switch it off, leading to an early failure.
